The health system (or more narrowly the ‘heathcare’ system) is often the most obvious example that surfaces when we refer to complex systems. Health systems’ vulnerability to disruption has become far clearer in recent years. Yet paradoxically, the health sector has not adopted or infused systems-led approaches in any widespread way. How might this be changing, and what can systems practices offer to address our current healthcare crisis?
