About ARIE

Our virtual Applied Research Internship Expo (ARIE) provides our students and industry partners with the opportunity to network and build a collaborative rapport, as they collectively seek to find the best fit for internships starting in May 2022.

Students

ARIE provides you with the opportunity to hear more from employers  about the applied research projects you could be working on from May 2022.

During the event, the MScAC program will be hosting a series of breakout sessions where you can ask questions about specific projects in a group setting. There are many internship opportunities available, so we highly recommend you go to these to hear more.

During the week, 15 minute 1-on-1 appointments can also be booked with people from the respective organisations. These meetings should be used to build a deeper connection and ask any further questions you have about a project, so we recommend preparing for these appointments, to ensure that they are utilised to their full potential.

Concluding the week, you will have one last opportunity to connect with a number of our industry partners, as we host a three-hour virtual career fair in Gather Town.

Employers

ARIE is an opportunity to meet with the MScAC 2021 cohort, all of whom are looking to hear more about your internship projects.

During the event, employers will host their own breakout session. This session can be used to meet with students from the cohort in a group setting and present your respective project(s). During the week, there is also the option to book 15 minute 1-on-1 meetings with students from the cohort. You may wish to utilise this to meet members of the cohort you think are uniquely suitable for your project.

To conclude the week, there will be one last opportunity to connect with the cohort. Utilising the Gather platform, we will be hosting a three-hour virtual career fair where all industry partners are encouraged to host a virtual booth for students to visit.

Event Schedule

Internship projects, student resumes and the full event schedule for breakout sessions will be posted by January 18th, 2022!

Breakout Sessions (live) & 1:1 appointments
