About the Awards

Rupertsland Institute is looking forward to honouring and celebrating Alberta's Métis entrepreneurs!

The following are the categories and requirements for businesses to be nominated: 

Startup Recognition

To be considered for this award the business must be:

1. Less than 1 year old
2. Business owner must meet RLI’s Eligibility Requirements https://www.rupertsland.org/employment-services/eligibility-requirements/
3. Business owner must have accessed one of Rupertsland Institute Métis Training to Employment Entrepreneurship programs.

Innovators

To be considered for this award the business must be:

1. A business in which the organization has introduced new idea, method, service, or device to innovate business operations, service delivery models, or overall strategy of outcomes.
2. Business owner must meet RLI’s Eligibility Requirements https://www.rupertsland.org/employment-services/eligibility-requirements/
3. Business owner must have accessed one of Rupertsland Institute Métis Training to Employment Entrepreneurship programs.

Cultural Connectors

To be considered for this award the business must be:

1. A business in which the organization has a significant connection to the Metis culture and Metis way of living integrated into the framework of their business, into the services they offer, or the products they sell.
2.  Business owner must meet RLI’s Eligibility Requirements https://www.rupertsland.org/employment-services/eligibility-requirements/
3. Business owner must have accessed one of Rupertsland Institute Métis Training to Employment Entrepreneurship programs.
