This session introduces participants to the capital continuum for nature finance, and offers a deep-dive into specific instruments that could help crowd in private finance at scale for conservation, stewardship, restoration and Indigenous-led nature activities in Alberta. 

At the end of this session, participants will have an understanding of:
-An overview of federal policy commitments on nature finance
-5X For Nature: Canada’s Nature Finance Roadmap to 2030 that identifies financial instruments and enabling conditions that can help close Canada’s biodiversity financing gap. 
-Contextualized knowledge and case examples that illustrate immediate nature finance opportunities that can be catalyzed in Alberta.
