Dion Simon is from Treaty 6, Maskwacis Nation, A member of the Ermineskin Band. Born and raised in Cree territory, His Mother is cree and Father from the blackfeet nation. Dion was brought up living and learning Cree traditions and society. His father has blood relations in the Piikunni Nation to the Crowshoe family. Coming to Treaty 7 nearly 25 yrs ago as a visitor where he met his wife Francesca Simon and is currently to the Medicine Trail Coordinator for the past 13yrs.
