Louie Fermor is an award-winning writer and artist of English-Scottish descent who has lived in Treaty 7 for thirty years. Louie has published and exhibited their work in galleries across Canada. They have attended residencies with organizations like the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity, New York University, the Feminist Art Collective, and the John Humphrey Centre for Peace and Human Rights.
Since graduating from the AUArts in 2016, Louie has participated in numerous community-run drag and protest events in the local underground queer scene. They use their careers in visual art, writing, and public service to join others in advocating for disabled futures. They are also a library worker and currently writing their first fiction novel with the support of Calgary Arts Development and Canada Council.
