Lori Hewson

Lori is a practical visionary and compassionate leader who encourages connection and understanding built on diverse perspectives and who sees possibility for initiatives that help transform us personally and collectively. She thrives on the sometimes ‘wild’ edges between people, organisations and systems believing in the power of relationships to help navigate meaningful change.

For more than 30 years Lori has worked in the environmental, social, philanthropic, and corporate sectors. Her experiences of working within and across these sectors has helped her develop a unique perspective and skillset for navigating differences to build bridges of understanding and connection between organisations, people and ideas that have led to the creation of successful initiatives and projects that have helped to shift hearts, minds and systems.

Her most recent role was as the Executive Director of the Suncor Energy Foundation (SEF) and Suncor’s Director of Community Investment and Social Innovation. She worked for SEF for 18 years, alongside many inspiring people and organizations having a meaningful impact in communities. These relationships and experiences have helped shape her approach to the work she does in the world.

Lori currently serves on the Tamarack Institute Board of Directors.
