Tim Fox
Vice President, Indigenous Relations & Equity Strategy
Calgary Foundation
Tim Fox, Natoyi’sokasiima, is a proud member of the Siksikaitsitapi, Blackfoot Confederacy, and was raised in his home community of the Kainai Nation. Despite being a child of residential school survivors, Tim was deeply immersed in the richness of Blackfoot oral tradition and Niitsitapi ways of life. His parents, Mike and Connie Fox, instilled in him the values of respect, humility, generosity, and above all, love. These teachings, along with the support of his extended community and kin, have shaped Tim's commitment to Kimmapiiyipitssini – Kindness & Compassion for all things and people.
As the Vice President of Indigenous Relations & Equity Strategy at the Calgary Foundation, Tim incorporates these values into his role. Over the past decade, he has been actively involved in reconciliation work, which has now expanded to include racial equity, co-created and delivered alongside his colleague, Ayodeji.

In 2021, Tim published his first children's book, Napi kii Imitaa (Napi and the Dogs), in both English and Blackfoot as part of a language revitalization project. He co-chairs The Circle on Philanthropy and was recognized as a top 40 under 40 in 2019 for his efforts in mobilizing systems change for reconciliation and racial equity. Tim also works as a partner consultant with Shades of Humanity, facilitating a change process that impacts internal culture while incorporating the work of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission.
