Dr. Ali McGill is an Assistant Professor at the University of New Brunswick and is also the Hon. Joan Kingston Research Chair in Health Innovation. She has been a Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner working in New Brunswick for over 23 years. Her PhD studies and research applied a systems thinking methodology - The Functional Resonance Analysis Method (FRAM) to examine, model, and analyze complex health systems to inform policy and system design. As an Assistant Professor she has led several studies, including a project funded by the NB Government’s Post Secondary Education Training and Labour branch to examine healthcare services for newcomers in Fredericton, NB. Her research interests center on leading FRAM-based modelling work, overseeing research design, and collaborating closely with academic and community partners to ensure research outcomes align with real-world needs.
