Prakriti Dhakal is a dedicated advocate for youth empowerment, public health, and systems thinking. As the Co-Founder and Executive Director of United For Impact, she leads initiatives addressing sexual and reproductive health, gender equity, and community health literacy across South Asia. With a background in global health policy, nonprofit leadership, and public engagement, she specializes in integrating systemic approaches to tackle stigmatized issues in healthcare and social justice.
Prakriti is currently pursuing an MSc in Global Health Policy at the London School of Economics (LSE) and has been recognized internationally for her research and leadership. She was a finalist in the 2023 Oxford Map the System Global Finals, where her work on inequitable access to infertility care in Nepal influenced policy discussions. She has also facilitated workshops on systems thinking, health literacy, and youth-led advocacy in Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Pakistan.
At the 2025 Banff Systems Summit, Prakriti will present "Breaking Taboos: Empowering Youth to Challenge Stigma Through System Thinking," an interactive session demonstrating how system dynamics tools such as the iceberg model and causal loop diagrams can help identify and dismantle societal stigmas around SRHR, mental health, and LGBTQ+ issues. She will also serve as a judge for the Map the System (MTS) Canada Finals, contributing her expertise to evaluating innovative systems-thinking projects.
With a passion for intersectional health advocacy and policy innovation, Prakriti is committed to fostering inclusive dialogue and equipping communities with the tools to drive meaningful change.
