Matóómikamo’saakii ‘First Steals Woman’ [english name Latasha Calf Robe] is a proud member of the Kainaiwa First Nation (Blood Tribe). Latasha currently serves as the Project Manager, Indigenous Engagement of the One Child Every Child initiative at the University of Calgary. Latasha has spent most of her time working in post-secondary, supporting student leadership development, reconciliation and change making initiatives at both Mount Royal University and the University of Calgary. Latasha has led and supported numerous grassroots, cultural revitalization and land-based initiatives across Treaty 7 and is recognized for her commitment to intergenerational approaches to complex challenges. Latasha is also a 2022 NDN Collective Changemaker Fellow and a recipient of the Queen's Platinum Jubilee medal in recognition of her commitment to culture, community and education. She strongly believes in the importance of nitsitapiisinni (Blackfoot way of life) and the reintroduction of niitsitapi land stewardship practices. Most importantly, Latasha is the mother of three beautiful Blackfoot children that she raises with her partner Adam Solway.
