Elinor Bray-Collins is a Professor of Politics in the Faculty of Liberal Arts and Sciences at Humber College in Toronto. In 2020, she was honored as the co-winner of the Innovation of the Year award for her pivotal role in adapting Map the System to the polytechnic context. Elinor has been instrumental in running Map the System at Humber College (now in its 5th year) since then and, together with her incredible colleagues, has scaled the competition across faculties, departments, and programs to reach hundreds of students. Outside of Humber, Elinor actively collaborates with international NGOs to create Systems Change and Systems Leadership education that allows youth in Africa, Asia, and the Middle East to articulate their visions for equality, sustainability, and systems change.

Before joining Humber, Elinor worked in global development and peacebuilding across the Middle East, East Africa, and Southeast Asia. She worked closely with young leaders to address complex societal challenges affecting their communities. Elinor also played a foundational role in a successful Canadian startup company in the private sector, focusing on research related to the culture of consumption.

Elinor's recent academic contributions include publications on youth politics in Lebanon, gender and development, transformational learning, and education for systems change. She holds a PhD in Political Science from the University of Toronto and an MA in Adult Education and Transformative Learning from the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education. Elinor lives in Toronto with her daughter.
