Ben is driven by the desire to help people, organizations and community get better at navigating complex challenges together. Currently he is the Executive Director of a large Alberta based NGO called Skills Society. Skills Society has a long history of innovation and advocacy for the rights and inclusion of people with developmental disabilities. Skills Society is known nationally for their human-centered services and social innovations around anti-racism, disability and housing systems change through their Action Lab. Previously, Ben created and stewarded Social Innovation Research & Development for 8 years through the Skills Society Action Lab. Ben is also a co-founder of MyCompass Planning, the founder of Think Jar Collective and regularly gives keynotes throughout North America on human centered service design thinking, social innovation labs and the tools and culture of disciplined innovation.
