Description

The Dao of Complexity: Making Sense and Making Waves in Turbulent Times
Our closing keynote speaker, Dr. Jean Boulton, will share insights from her recent book The Dao of Complexity that will challenge managers, policymakers, community leaders, students, and educators. Her work explores the resonance between complexity science and Daoism, engaging in the processual, contextual, and emergent nature of ourselves and of the world around us. Boulton will connect ideas in a thrilling and novel way between such diverse fields as quantum physics, brain science, political theory, and economics. What does 'making sense' of the world mean in these turbulent times, and how might we 'make waves' in a world of increasing connectivity, polarisation, and fragility?
